Hi there! I’m Lydia O’Leary, and I’m so glad you’re here.

My journey with franchising started early. From a young age, I knew I wanted more control over my future. That drive led me to launch my own babysitting business as a teen while working multiple jobs on the side. Hustle with heart has always been part of my story.

But everything really came together when a close family friend and mentor introduced me to the franchise world—not just as a career path, but as a lifestyle. I was able to see all the opportunities franchise ownership could bring, especially compared to the ups and downs of the traditional corporate world. One that offers stability, independence, and purpose.

Taking the Leap Into Franchise Ownership

After college, I dove into franchise development, working with some incredible companies like Authority Brands, Best Life Brands, and BrandONE.  During these experiences, I worked with, and learned from top franchise executives and top franchise owners which fueled my desire to be on the ownership side. So in 2021, my husband and I took the leap and opened our first home service franchise. We expanded to a second territory in 2023 and by 2024, we were proud to become the #1 operator in the entire company.

All the while, we were growing our family too—welcoming two amazing boys. Franchising gave us the freedom and flexibility to build a life we truly love, and that’s exactly why I started Omvia Franchise Consulting. Now, I get to help others change their lives through franchise ownership, and live their lives with freedom, flexibility and everything that franchise ownership offers. 

The Story Behind Omvia: A Transformative Path

The name Omvia comes from my Norwegian roots. My great-grandfather immigrated to the U.S. from Norway with his three brothers in search of the American dream. They started a farm in southwestern Minnesota and built a new life from the ground up. Norway holds a special place in my heart, and Omvia blends two Norwegian words: omstilling, which means transformative, and via, meaning path. Together, they represent everything I hope to offer others through franchising—a path to transformation and freedom.
